an unbiased perception of reality, a mentally healthy person was more accurate or more efficent in his/her perception of reality than the less healthy. the exact nature of reality is often diffcult to define, especially where people or social events are concerned.

sources of bias that clouds the judgment? Maslow was able to identify those sources of bias that clouds the judgment of unhealthy, less healthy or mentally disordered.

such sources of bias include anxiety, fears, need desires and wish. how one of these operate in less than healthy individuals.
